At Multimedia University (MMU), it is renowned for being an excellent higher education institution in an effort to produce newer generations of leaders and quality workers.

In Malaysia, there are three MMU campuses with the first built in Melaka, then in Cyberjaya and Johor.
The institution first started as a catalyst in conducting research projects and development projects as well as preserving a close tie with the industry through consistent cooperation activities.
At present, after many years of modification to its system, it hosts up to 13 research centres that focus on specific niche areas such as nanotechnology, micro systems, biometrics, virtual reality, microwave, and telecommunication, engineering, photonics, advanced robotics, and business.a

The Putra Brand Awards is organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As).
It is the only brand awards in Malaysia endorsed by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and supported by the Branding Association of Malaysia (BAM), the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA), and the Media Specialists Association (MSA)
The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) awarded eight universities and five polytechnics with the Premier Digital Tech University and Preferred Digital Tech Polytechnic status respectively.
MMU stood among seven other universities in awarding the status, together with Universiti Malaya, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Mara, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, Sunway University, Taylor’s University and Asia Pacific University. MMU further fortified its position as the Premier Digital Tech Institution when the university is continuously recognised as one of the senior institutes in Premier Digital Tech which was accorded by the Ministry of Higher Education and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC)

General Requirements
Bachelor Programs
Minimum CGPA of 2/4 in High School, Secondary School or A – level.
For Engineering, Physics, Chemistry and Maths compulsory in High School.
Master Programs
Minimum CGPA of 2.5 /4 or equivalent in a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Minimum CGPA of 2-2.5 /4 in a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field is acceptable if accompanied by a 5-year work experience in a related field
PhD programs
Minimum CGPA of 2.75 /4 or equivalent in a Master’s degree in a related field.
Minimum CGPA of 2-2.75 /4 in a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field is acceptable if accompanied by a 5-year work experience in a related field
Accommodation
There are primarily two kinds of accommodation available for the students of MMU.
On Campus
Although the application procedure for the On-Campus Accommodation is available for all students, priority is given to the fresh undergraduates.
There are four 5-storey hostel blocks; with 250 rooms in each block for twin sharing and triple sharing.
The facilities provided to the students in the room include Beds with mattresses, Book shelves, Wardrobe, Curtain, Free Internet, Study table and chair and Fan.

Off – Campus
Some off-campus accommodation is available within 5-10 minutes of walking distance from MMU. These accommodations are available in Cyberjaya, Melaka and Johor.
Each of these units consists of 3 – 4 rooms, which can accommodate 3 – 8 people.
