About the university

Perlis University in Malaysia is one of the elite public universities in Malaysia. The university was established in 2001 and when the government approved the establishment of the university, the university began under the name of University University – Kolej Universiti Kejuruteraan Utara Malaysia (KUKUM). In 2007, the college was upgraded to become a full university and was renamed to its current name, which is Perlis University.

 

The university is distinguished by being one of the 4 technical universities in the University of Malaysia, and the university is a beacon for producing engineers with high experience and skills to meet the Malaysian industrial plan.

Universiti Malaysia Perlis has an estimated student population of 13,488 and has a workforce of 2,193 employees that include both academics and non-academics. Conditions for studying at the university

Admission requirements to UniMAP University in Malaysia
 For bachelor's degree applicants Possess a high school diploma with a minimum GPA of 2.5 out of 4 or 62% out of 100%.

Stage A or Stage O certificate with a grade of 2 out of 4 or 50% out of 100% minimum.

 For applicants to master's degreesPossess a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field with a minimum GPA of 2.7 out of 4 or 65% out of 100%.

Note: Students with a BIM GPA of 2.5 to 2.7 may have a chance of taking admission if they have previous work experience.

 For PhD applicants Possess a Master’s degree in the relevant field with a minimum grade point average of 2.7 out of 4 or 65% out of 100%.

Required language requirements
