About the university

UITM University is one of the most prominent universities throughout the history of Malaysia. The university was founded in 1967 and this establishment came in response to the demands of trained professionals. The response was made after the shortage was identified after a comprehensive labor force survey in 1965, in cooperation with the United Nations. This is in recognition of the importance of education in social engineering processes. This is what UITM has put in the first place, which is to meet all the needs of science and technology in many fields of engineering, applied sciences, architecture, construction and planning.

 

The university has 12 branches and 19 affiliated colleges, which vary in fields and specializations such as the Department of Music and Arts, and Law. University graduates are attracted through the labor market because of the efficiency and quality of higher education that students receive at UITM.

The number of graduates from the university exceeds one million and one hundred thousand graduates, and the programs exceed 500 programs and educational institutions that include more than 19 thousand workers in this institution. The number exceeds 200 professors from the teaching and administrative staff at the university level.

University housing details

UITM University Housing in Malaysia has a variety of options for local and international students.

Some of the housing options available at the university:

  1. Campus housing: The university offers on-campus boarding accommodation, including single and shared rooms with shared facilities such as dining halls and sports facilities.
    The rooms vary in price and features, from 645 to 1,345 Malaysian ringgit.
  2. Student apartments: In addition to on-campus housing, students can look for external apartments to rent in the surrounding areas, which provide privacy and independence.
  3. Homestay: Students can sometimes choose to stay with local families, which provides an opportunity to better understand Malaysian culture and improve language skills.
  4. Furnished apartments: Furnished apartments are available for rent that provide comfort and security for students.

Department of Basic Studies
  • The minimum cumulative GPA for the secondary school certificate is 4/3
  • The minimum cumulative GPA for the diploma certificate is 3.5/4
Bachelor's Program Department
  • The minimum cumulative GPA is 4/3 for the secondary school certificate, middle school certificate, or A Level program
Master's Program Department
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5/4 or equivalent in Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Department of Doctoral Program
  • Minimum GPA of 3/4 or equivalent in Bachelor's degree in a related field.

University approval

By registering the following:

Registration is done via WhatsApp or via email
Obtain the acceptance paper within 14 days

Obtaining a student visa

After approval, the student must pay the visa fees to the university’s computer so that the procedures for obtaining the visa can begin immediately.

The student sends the fees payment receipt.
Obtaining a student visa within a maximum period of 40 days
