Conditions for studying at the university

Admission requirements at the University of Malaya-Wales in Malaysia
 For bachelor's degree applicants Possess a high school diploma with a minimum GPA of 2.5 out of 4 or 62% out of 100%.

Stage A or Stage O certificate with a grade of 2 out of 4 or 50% out of 100% minimum.

 For applicants to master's degreesPossess a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field with a minimum GPA of 2.7 out of 4 or 65% out of 100%.

Note: Students with a BIM GPA of 2.5 to 2.7 may have a chance of taking admission if they have previous work experience.

 For PhD applicants Possess a Master’s degree in the relevant field with a minimum grade point average of 2.7 out of 4 or 65% out of 100%.

Required language requirements

  • Preparatory Year Bachelor’s Diploma IELTS 5 or equivalent
  • Master's and Doctorate, IELTS 6 or equivalent. There is a difference according to specialization
